In the past 2 months I have received email’s from students conducting research for their program of study. Student’s from The University of Memphis, New York University and Columbia University have contacted me looking for Veteran’s to help with their research. This research can include taking an online survey or even visiting a campus to be interviewed and/or go through a series of different tests, which you may be paid for. The purpose for all of this research is to not only understand more about the Veteran, but also to find new ways to help Veterans who may be suffering with mental or physical disorders.
Organizations such as The Rand Corporation conducts large scale research for the Department of Defense and the Veterans Affairs. By clicking on the link Center for Military Health Policy , you can take a look at studies that are being conducted at this time. Other organizations that conduct research to help bring better care for our Veterans is The Society of Federal Health Agencies , Naval Medical Research Center , The Veterans Health Research Institute , and The Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University.
