Well the crazy 2016 election has come to an end and soon we will have a new President in the White House. Whether you agree or disagree about the result, one thing is for sure and that is that November 11 is Veterans Day. With America so focused on the results of the election, I am sadden to think that Veterans Day will be overlooked. With over 21 million American veterans, almost everyone knows someone who served. This is a day we remember our fallen and a day to simply say Thank You to one another.
My fellow veterans have sacrificed so much for this country through the years and continue today. Recently we have lost members of our military who are serving overseas in Afghanistan in harms way. Yes, our military continues to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan and through out the world. Although their hard and dangerous work in these regions doesn’t get much attention these days in the media, my fellow veterans and I simply hope that you do not forget our brothers and sisters we have lost fighting for the safety of you, our fellow Americans and our freedom.
